Pre-amble
Winners Baptist Church Education Foundation is an initiative of Reverend Sola Oladeni, Pastor-in-charge, Winners Baptist Church, Bariga, Lagos. Winners Baptist Church is a member of the Nigerian Baptist Convention.
Mission
To partake and involve in the educational development of members of Winners Baptist Church within the framework of secondary school students, post secondary school students through counselling, Seminars, scholarship, financial aids and visitations. The foundation will also extend hand of fellowship to unemployed graduates.
Vision
To extend the mission statement of WBCEF to other Christian and non-Christian communities for the purposes of evangelism.
Modus Operandi
a) Data Gathering – The data gathering here will refer to a strategic compilation of all persons who fall within the category of the framework of the beneficiaries of WBCEF. The data are to be updated frequently to accommodate new beneficiaries and also to exclude those who are out of the framework.
b) Data Analysis – The data analysis will attempt to categorize and re-categorize beneficiaries into indigent and capable students and also attach class of attention from the foundation to the two categories
c) Foundation Launching – The foundation is to be kicked off with a formal launching during a church service in September, 2011. The launching will attempt to raise initial fund for the running of the foundation. There shall also be a two-series lecture from young personnel outside the church to x-ray the beauty of education and hard work.
d) Strategies – The Foundation will employ both formal and informal approach to channel its responsibilities to the beneficiaries. These will include but not limited to :
a. Payment of school fees
b. Scholarship and Bursary Awards
c. Payment of basic school allowance
d. Campus visitation
e. Seminars and Workshops
e) The foundation is to be dully registered with the government as it progresses in operation
f) A current bank account is to be maintained by the foundation
g) A justification committee/panel is to ratify all payment to the beneficiaries.
The above statement will, in the interim, guide the foundation as it progresses while necessary amendments shall be appended as they come.
